Fanad Lighthouse
Standing proudly between Lough Swilly and Mulroy Bay, Fanad Lighthouse is one of the most beautiful lighthouses in the world and the flagship attraction of the Fanad Peninsula. An Grianan of Aileach Ring Fort
Situated on the summit of Grianán Mountain, this ancient stone fort is one of Ireland’s finest. Dating back to the early Christian era, legend claims it was built by the gods and honoured as a sacred “sun place.” Its 3.9-metre-thick walls contain chambers, stairways and a spectacular panoramic view across Lough Swilly, Lough Foyle and the surrounding peninsula. Errigal Mountain
Errigal — the tallest peak in both the Derryveagh Mountains and County Donegal — is renowned for its dramatic shape and the pink glow of its quartzite at sunset. Located near the Gaeltacht village of Gweedore, Errigal is the highest of the “Seven Sisters” and a favourite among hikers and photographers.
